Substrates and Filters for Emission Controls

Substrates
Metal Fiber TWC Substrates

Flow-through and partly wall flow substrates, fabricated by metal fiber media of DSWP, SSSP, NSSP for catalytic conversion of harmful emission from gasoline, LPG and natural gas fuel engines and better heat transfer comparing with ceramic substrate in case of engine cold start, so that provides flexibility in their shapes which can give flexible packaging in engine room design. The available cell densities are from 100cpsi to 900 cpsi. The operational temperature is within 1150ºC.

Metal Fiber DOC, LNT Substrates

Flow-through and partly wall flow substrate, fabricated by metal fiber media of DSWP, SSSP, NSSP for catalytic conversion of harmful emission from diesel engines and better heat transfer comparing with ceramic substrate in case of engine cold start, so that provides flexibility in their shapes which can give flexible packaging in engine room design. This substrate is specified for LNT (Lean NOx Trap) with better durability thanks to no reaction with alkali- and alkali earth metal components in catalyst washcoat. The cell density is available in the range of 100 ~ 600 cpsi and operational temperature is within 1150ºC.

Full Gasoline, Diesel Particulate Filter (GPF, DPF)
Partial Diesel Particulate Filter (pDPF)
DPF

For the higher level legislation of both gasoline and diesel emission such as Euro VI and Euro VII, the full particulate filters of FiberTech's metal fiber technologies are the solution, which will work for PM emission as well as PN# reduction. The filtration efficiency is controllable in the range of 80 ~ 99% considering exhaust back pressure and base emission.

The newly developed MXP media has high porosity and small pore size (average, <15 μm ) for achieve maximum filtration efficiency with less back pressure increase.

FiberTech's partial diesel particulate matter filter (pDPF) with metalfiber technology are for responding to the regulation of Euro IV and Euro V and those equivalences.  FiberTech's pDPF has bypass slots or rings in front panel for functioning of partial DPF which has about 50 ~ 75% reduction efficiency target. Its SML(Soot Mass Limit) is over 18g/L (Recommendable 15g/L) which is much higher filtering accumulation capability compared to those of competitors in same filter volume.

IARS
(Idle Active Regeneration System)
Active Regen

The combined continous active regeneration system consists of safety burner, DOC and coated filter for passive and active regeneration scheme for cleaning of PM deposition.

It serves a reliable strategy for making low level developing engines to adapt to higher emission regulaton market such as retrofit market.

FiberTech supplies Idle active regeneration system especially for heavy duty market, which has very short regeneration time in about 10 minute at idling, every thousands kilometers. We acquired CARB Level III under collaboration with BE company/U.S.A., and are supplying this products to mainly U.S.A retrofit market.

It's possible to fabricate the system smaller for SUV for the future regulation.
